About the house

This bright, spacious holiday cottage accommodation(sleeps 7/9) nestled in a wooded hilltop, overlooks the mountains of Connemara and is close to the Atlantic Ocean with its many stunning beaches. The original house has been lovingly restored and extended, using salvaged materials where possible. The master bedroom boasts spectacular mountain views, while the other three bedrooms overlook the enclosed south-facing garden. A comfortable sofa bed allows for extra sleeping space.

The large  kitchen includes one of two living room areas. Both of these spaces include solid fuel stoves and double french doors that open onto the garden. The house is both cosy on a wet day and bright and sunny, giving easy access to outside. The house has one bathroom and one shower room (two toilets) and a substantial utility room with a good drying area. The house has a washing machine, dishwasher, electric oven, gas hob, central heating, immersion and solar panels which heat the water. Also included are a radio, tv, dvd player, broadband and turf for the stoves. Bed clothing and towels are provided. An information pack about local restaurants, pubs, babysitters and hackney/taxi services is available.

Inagh Valley

Letterfrack village: small village home the internationally renowned Letterfrack Furniture College, Furniture Conservation Centre, three lively pubs and a restaurant.

Clifden: Capital of Connemara which celebrates its bicentenary in 2012 is a vibrant market town with shops, pubs and restaurants, famous for its annual Arts Festival and historical links with Marconi and Alcock & Brown.
